release with all the details and

to request a license plate. The Blue Ridge Parkway Motorcycle
Tag program needs more participants. As of Feb. 7th, they have
121 of the 300 applications needed to put this tag into production.
The BRP tags are $30.00 (plus the $18.00 renewal fee) and $20.00
of the $30.00 goes to the

knows, a BRP tag may help with a ranger encounter some afternoon...)

Book review, Shovelhead
Red "The Drifter's Way" in "Articles submitted
by our readers" section. Roy Yelverton (Uncle Roy) has
written an excellent Biker adventure novel you should consider
reading
and purchasing. Roy has just written a new book, Shovelhead
Red "Ridin' Out". You can contact Roy at Riders'
Roost for ordering information.
Motorcycle Club links are now listed
separately on the links page. If you would like to have your club
web site included just drop me a note and I'll add it to the growing
list of motorcycle club sites. This is a great way to get exposure
for your club and get new members.

I've seen a lot of visitors coming in
from Virginia & Tennessee. Please send in your motorcycle
event information.
I'm still looking for more Motorcycle
friendly places where you may spend the night or longer. If you
know of a campground, resort, lodge or other safe place that welcomes
motorcyclists in the Carolinas please let me know. Mention if
they have a web site, e-mail address, phone number and address
too. There is a special section on my links pages for these fine
places.
If you would like to write articles for
the site, please forward them to me via E-mail. I'm interested
in technical, safety, event planning, rides or human interest
articles. If your article is selected, your "By Line"
(name) will be included with the article, with your permission
of course.
Welcome to Carolina Motorcycle Events.
I'm glad to share these pages with you.
THANKS FOR SENDING IN YOUR EVENT INFO. I appreciate those of
you who have taken the time to give me some feedback and letting
me
know about events coming up. If you don't see your motorcycle
event on my events page, I don't know about it. You'll find
more
information about regional motorcycle events here than on any
other single site. This is in large part due to your continued
support
in
keeping
the event info coming in.
Check out the link to the Vietnam Memorial
Wall. I've added forty photos I have taken while in Vietnam.
More
photos have been sent to me and there are still nearly 300 I
have to look at/scan of my own. So you can expect more in the
future.
I've just added a new area to the Vietnam section. It is called
"Boondock Bards". There
is a selection of ten poems (Bards) I have extracted from the
Pacific Stars and Stripes published in 1967. These poems were
written by readers of the Pacific Stars and Stripes. You may
recognize
the authors from your Vietnam days.
Stay a while and enjoy. Carolina Motorcycle
Events is updated several times a week. So, stop by often and
have a look. Thanks to Mark and Molly of the North Carolina Full
Throttle Magazine for permitting me to post information from their
magazine.

days, click here.
